POSITION OVERVIEW
The Platform Director – Human Capital Management (HCM) will lead the implementation of our new HCM – Workday software, enhancement, and long-term strategy of the HCM suite of solutions across our global operations. This role will ensure the HCM platform operates seamlessly and effectively, creating both immediate and future value for our diverse hospitality business. The Platform Director will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing daily operations, resolving issues, driving user adoption and create a future roadmap for enhancements globally for our hotels and corporate offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workday Implementation & Management : Lead the global implementation of the Workday platform across all properties and corporate offices, ensuring a smooth, on-time rollout with minimal disruption.
- System Enhancements & Optimisation : Identify areas for improvement, oversee enhancement projects, and create a future roadmap to optimise Workday and surrounding system capabilities to meet evolving business needs. Ensure tight alignment with vendors’ upgrade/enhancement plans to ensure appropriate end-to-end testing is performed.
- Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of specialists responsible for day-to-day system operations and support.
- Problem Resolution : Ensure timely resolution of tickets, providing troubleshooting and technical support for HCM-related issues. Guide the team in effectively handling issue escalation and root-cause analysis for complex problems.
- Strategy & Value Realisation : Develop and execute a long-term strategic roadmap for the HCM platform to maximise its value across the business, establishing key success metrics and fostering strong partnerships across HR, IT, and business units.
- User Adoption & Change Management : Create a robust change management plan to drive strong user adoption and effective platform utilisation. Develop and oversee training programmes and resources for initial implementation and ongoing user engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with property and regional HR leaders, IT, Finance, and other key departments to ensure that the HCM platform aligns with business needs and integrates effectively with other systems.
- Compliance & Data Security : Ensure the HCM platform adheres to international data protection regulations and data privacy requirements, particularly within sensitive regions.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience :
- Minimum of 10 years in HR technology, with at least 5 years focused on Workday system management, strategy, and team leadership.
- Proven track record in Workday implementations, enhancements, and troubleshooting in a multinational environment.
- Prior experience integrating Workday with other related Finance and HR systems and operating those integrations on an ongoing basis.
- Prior experience within the hospitality industry, with a solid understanding of its specific HRIS challenges and needs.
- Skills :
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills, with experience in building high-performance support teams and managing ticketing systems.
- Strong project management capabilities and a strategic mindset for creating and executing a long-term HCM roadmap.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to ticket resolution and technical issue management.
- Ability to align HR processes with system functionality, leveraging both a knowledge of industry best practices as well as the most efficient path to driving desired outcomes.
- Familiarity with global data compliance and data privacy regulations.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Location Requirement : This role is ideally based in our corporate office in Switzerland, with some international travel to support global alignment and oversee team performance across regions.
