The district of Mansfeld-Südharz is seeking to fill the position of
Network administrator for schools (m/f/d)
in the School and Sports Office at the Lutherstadt Eisleben site.
This is a full-time position (39 h/week) limited until 31.05.2030, which is valued at pay group 9a TVöD.
We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic personality who can work under pressure and, in addition to good technical knowledge, has a confident and friendly demeanor and can work independently and in conflict situations.

What You Can Expect
The main tasks of this position include:

• Network administration at schools (school management, administration and student networks) – operation, monitoring and configuration of network components
• Support and maintenance of school administration, student and teacher workstations
• Administration of directory services
• Ensuring the operability of networks at schools
• Monitoring centralized and decentralized data backup and ensuring data security
• Functional monitoring of the web server and internet functionality
• New creation and constant updating of school data
• Setting up all computer and network accounts
• Securing and maintaining the update systems and virus protection software
• Installation, care and maintenance of hardware and software in schools – recording the current status of hardware and software equipment
• Assisting with and monitoring the installation of hardware and software
• Installation, support and assistance with specific software
• Advice, participation and support in the planning and acquisition of hardware and software equipment as well as making suggestions for optimization
• Preparation of tenders as part of the procurement process
• Provision of technology for project work, as well as managing, maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of presentation technology
• Other tasks – provision of IT technology for schools
• Participation in consultations
• Preparation and support of the computer rooms and other technology
• Problem solving/processing using the ticket system

Your Requirements
Required is:

• Completed vocational training in the IT sector (e.g. IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d), IT system electronics technician (m/f/d)) or comparable qualification
• Class B driving license

Desirable Are

• Professional experience in the field of system administration
• Good information technology knowledge, especially in the area of system and server administration
• good knowledge in dealing with the setup and function monitoring of hardware and software
• Willingness and ability to work in a team, provide information, give advice and share experiences
