Senior VFX Artist – Heroes of History (New Mobile Game)

Artist – Art / Animation – Hamburg (Hybrid), Germany

We are looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join our in-house art team working on the new mobile game Heroes of History. Bring your passion for VFX art, and support our team in creating and implementing awesome effects for our game.
Learn continuously by interacting with our experienced team of Artists and Game Development specialists. We are enthusiastic about what we do, and we have fun doing it!

YOUR MISSION

1. Convert and interpret 2D concepts into real-time FX for heroes, buildings, and props.
2. Create game-ready assets and apply the art style of our new mobile game.
3. Work cooperatively within an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment, and report to our Team Lead Art.
4. Deliver your results with respect to our production pipeline, art direction, and team-internal deadlines.
5. Plan and estimate times for your own tasks.

YOUR SKILL SET

1. You can showcase your professional experience (4+ years) based on an impressive portfolio.
2. You have a solid understanding of graphics math and a willingness to keep learning and improving in this area.
3. You are proficient in coding with C#, Python, HLSL, and CG Shader language or similar languages.
4. Experience in modeling, skinning, and animation.
5. You are skilled in using Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, or other comparable software.
6. You are proficient in using Unity3D and understand technical constraints to integrate your assets into the engine.
7. You are a proactive communicator, enjoying sharing knowledge, and confident interacting with an international/intercultural team of experts.
8. You have completed a university degree or comparable training in the field of graphics.
9. You feel comfortable using your excellent English skills in both spoken and written form daily.
