E-Commerce Manager – Marketplaces [m/f/d]

We’re seeking as soon as possible a data-savvy, detail-oriented Marketplace Content & Intelligence Specialist to strengthen our digital presence across biotech marketplaces and B2B procurement platforms. In this role, you’ll take charge of content quality, platform activation, and performance monitoring – helping us turn connected platforms into scalable growth channels.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Marketplace Content Management: Optimize and maintain high-quality, scientifically accurate product content across biotech marketplaces and P2P procurement platforms (e.g., ZAGENO, ScienceExchange, Ariba, Coupa). Ensure consistency with PIM and webshop data.
• Channel Activation & Campaign Execution: Support the implementation of promotional activities and product placements on marketplaces. Coordinate with platform contacts to execute marketing and sales initiatives.
• Marketplace Intelligence & Sales Monitoring: Track and analyze key marketplace KPIs (visibility, traffic, sales, click-through rates, etc.). Use insights to drive improvements in content, campaigns, and platform prioritization.
• Competitive & Channel Research: Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, and platform-specific trends. Support the evaluation of new marketplaces and make data-driven suggestions for platform expansion or optimization.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate within E-Commerce and with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to align content and campaigns with commercial priorities and product lifecycle stages.

Qualifications:

• A completed academic degree in E-commerce, Business Informatics, Economics, or a demonstrable equivalent expierience in a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace operations, or digital product content
• Familiarity with B2B marketplaces and procurement platforms—ideally in biotech or life sciences
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with BI tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
• Hands-on experience with product content systems (PIM/MDM)
• Experience using AI tools for content, automation, and analysis
• Fluent in English and German and comfortable with working in an international, cross-functional environment
• Scientific education or literacy is an advantage
