Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Contract Type: Permanent, On-site

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Internal Audit team both professionally and disciplinarily
• Plan and conduct audits across all areas of the bank's operations
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines (e.g., MaRisk, DORA)
• Identify risks and weaknesses, recommend improvements, and monitor their implementation
• Analyze and assess IT-driven processes and internal control systems
• Continuously improve the Internal Control System (ICS)
• Provide audit-related support for major projects to ensure regulatory compliance
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to senior management

Requirements

• A university degree in business law, finance, IT, or a related discipline, or a banking qualification with several years of relevant professional experience (e.g., in banking, consulting, or auditing)
• A structured, independent, and efficient approach to work
• Strong desire to continuously grow your knowledge, especially in regulatory topics (e.g., MaRisk, EBA, CRR)
• Strong leadership qualities, analytical thinking, assertiveness, and a process-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in German (written and spoken) and English
