Research Assistant (R&D)

Location: Marburg, Germany (Onsite)

Salary: Up to €45,000 DOE

Your Responsibilities:

General tasks in the field of R&D:

• Development, validation and verification of new immunoassays for manual use as well as for automated application on the companies or other fully automatic machines and preparation of technical documentation
• Optimisation, validation and verification of existing immunoassays for manual application as well as for automated application on the companies or other fully automatic machines and creation of technical documentation
• IVDR-compliant creation or updating of the technical documentation of new developed or existing manual or automated immunoassays of the companiesr submission to the notified body.
• Training in the context of product transfers.
• Supervision of pupils in the context of internships or students in the context of bachelor's and master's theses .

Laboratory Organization

• Ordering of reagents, consumables and clinical examination materials
• Management of samples
• Cleaning, maintenance and functional testing of laboratory equipment according to maintenance schedules
• Maintain a clean and tidy laboratory environment while respecting applicable safety guidelines

Specific tasks in the area of R&D:

• IVDR: Preparation and review of technical documentation before submission to notified body
• Project management for special and time-limited research projects

General cross-departmental tasks:

• Scientific and technical support of the production and QC departments in case of technical problems.

Specific cross-departmental tasks:

• Supporting production and QC in case of technical problems
• Provision of technical information for customer inquiries
• Representation of the company in the R&D area at external company activities (trade fairs, congresses, etc.)

Your Qualifications:

• Completed university studies in biology, chemistry, medicine or related fields (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
• Very good written and spoken English and German.
• Practical laboratory experience in a diagnostic environment is desirable.
• Structured, self-reliant way of working.
• Team spirit and interdisciplinary communication skills.
