Looking for native Hong Kong English speakers for a *non professional* voiceover project

We are collaborating with one of our key clients on an exciting project to train AI bots used in call centers. The goal is to help these bots understand different intonations, speech cadences, and accents. If you’re a native english (Hong Kong variant) speaker and have a PC with a microphone, this opportunity is perfect for you!

We are kicking off this project this upcoming Monday (16.12).

Tasks

What You’ll Do :
Record approximately 250-300 provided utterances (short phrases) in your native language, with each utterance saved as a separate file.

Why You’re Needed :
Your recordings will help train call-center bots, enabling them to better understand diverse speech patterns.
Note : These recordings will not be used for commercial purposes.

Requirements

Requirements :

• Native speaker of the target language (no linguistic or professional voiceover experience needed).
• A PC with a microphone.
• Ability to install and use the free recording software Audacity (we provide detailed setup instructions).
• A quiet environment for clear, noise-free recordings.
• Freelance status – ability to send an invoice at the end of the project

Technical Specifications :

• Format : Single-channel WAV PCM.
• Frequency : 16 kHz.
• Silence : 0.5 seconds of silence at the beginning or end of each recording.

Benefits

• Rate : 40 EUR/hour.

To ensure a diverse pool of voices and verify that the recording environment meets the required standards (e.g., no background noise), we will ask shortlisted candidates to submit a short voice sample as part of the application process.
