Job Highlights

  • Safe and efficient operations of the Alkyl Bromides area by completing, supporting, and participating in all assigned tasks
  • Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production policies, procedures, SOPs, and regulations related to the area are followed
  • Monitor the process in the field and/or in control room to identify and report unusual and unsafe conditions
  • Ability to cross train on all operations within the area
  • Identify routine maintenance requirements
  • Perform minor maintenance to piping and equipment as needed
  • Participate in activities, meetings, and projects which will enhance plant safety, environmental, reliability, cost, and production performance
  • Operation of complex chemical processes utilizing defined standard operation procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to work twelve-hour rotating day/night shifts and overtime as required
  • Previous experience in operations is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude (working with pipe wrenches and tools needed for plant activities and minor maintenance)
  • Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn
  • Participation in plant safety and environmental programs
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with site standards and coach others to do the same
  • Must maintain and continually improve the housekeeping standards of the area
