The Frontend cluster is responsible for the planning, quality and productivity of its semiconductor manufacturing and drives related process and manufacturing innovations. In your new role you will:
- Initiate and summarize special chip surface and interface characterization in our inhouse failure analysis lab
- Carry out special optical microscopy analysis on wafers
- Track development wafer lots in our frontend and backend fabs worldwide
- Extract and summarize electrical measurement result data
- Conduct simple experiments and characterizations of wafers in the fab
- Review and classify wafer defect images
- Provide logistic support for sample shipment and special assembly requests
- Support activities mainly at the Villach site and via remote communication also to other sites worldwide

Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 12 months
You successfully meet the requirements, if you are a motivated and committed student from the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, Process Engineering or a similar technical study. You are best equipped for this task if you additionally offer:
- Interest in semiconductor processing, curiosity, patience and willingness to handle diverse job tasks
- Ability to work in a team
- Good command of English, German is a plus
- Bachelor\’s or Master\’s thesis is generally possible if a common topic can be identified
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2024.pdf.
