ABOUT THE ROLE

As one of the world\’s leading digital transformation service providers, we are expanding our Data Practice across Europe to meet increasing client demand. We seek a Director of Data Analytics in Germany focusing on Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This senior role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, deliver ML/AI solutions, and collaborate closely with clients and global Data leadership teams.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical leadership and strategic expertise in ML and AI, guiding the design, development, and implementation of solutions for clients.
2. Engage with clients to understand their challenges and requirements, and communicate how ML/AI can address them.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop datasets, and apply ML algorithms to deliver high-quality solutions.
4. Identify new ML/AI opportunities, support sales efforts, and secure funding by leveraging your expertise and engaging decision-makers.
5. Shape ML solutions, scope and price engagements, establish operating models, and lead transition from sales to delivery.
6. Maintain strong client relationships through effective project delivery, communication, and issue resolution.
7. Engage with executive stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide growth initiatives.
8. Stay updated with ML/AI advancements and recommend new approaches to address challenges across markets and geographies.
9. Support sales activities by assessing data opportunities, responding to RFPs, and creating proposals.

Requirements

1. Significant experience in senior/leadership roles within Data & Analytics/ML/AI, with a proven track record of designing and implementing solutions.
2. Knowledge of architectures such as CNN/RNN, Transformers, LLM, Multimodal, Foundation models.
3. Understanding of classical and Deep Learning-based ML algorithms.
4. Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders to secure project funding or sell ML/AI solutions.
5. Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate across regions.
6. Technical proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into ML/AI solutions.
8. Fluent in German and English.
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
