Senior Fullstack Engineer (Typescript)

Our wholesale business is growing and expanding globally, and we’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (TypeScript) to help scale On’s Go-To-Market & Wholesale operations. In this role, you’ll be based in our Berlin office, reporting to one of the engineering managers, working closely with the product team and key stakeholders in Zurich to improve and grow our systems using the latest technology.

Your Mission

1. Lead and contribute to our GTM projects that impact our merchandising and wholesale operations.
2. Collaborate with the wider engineering teams to maintain project codebases, raising the bar of code quality and scalability.
3. Work daily within a cross-functional squad to build features and conduct experiments aligned with the product vision.
4. Streamline the work of the engineering team and contribute to improving productivity.
5. Improve deployment processes, such as speeding up the CI/CD pipeline, implementing canary deploys, and automating rollbacks.
6. Participate in product discussions and take ownership in cases with many unknowns and open questions.

Your Story

1. You have been acting in a tech lead role using TypeScript in backend for over 1 year.
2. Extensive experience with TypeScript and frameworks like Nest.js or similar (e.g., Spring Boot).
3. Practical experience with React and Next.js.
4. Familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language.
5. Production experience with REST API design and system design best practices.
6. Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
7. Experience with relational databases is essential.
8. Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

1. Practical knowledge of document datastores.
2. Experience with event-driven architectures.
3. Understanding of Domain-Driven Design.
