Title – Sr. SharePoint Developer
Position – Contract (6+ Months)
Location – Hanover, MD
Rate – $Open (Best Possible)
Responsibilities:
- Initiate new application development effort using SharePoint technologies: design, develop SharePoint site’s architecture, governance and security/access control to meet business needs.
- Perform SharePoint site development interacting with customers and business analysts in gathering functional and business requirements.
- Develop, deploy and support solutions by translating functional requirements into robust, interesting, supportable, and sustainable sites/applications.
- Work both independently and as part of a team including other developers, software architects, and project managers to develop applications on time and within client parameters.
- Meet with business users to gather requirements; assist business analysts in translating business requirements into technical requirements and communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Perform peer reviews, assist in developing testing plans and test scripts; perform testing on applications.
- Write technical design documents and Standard Operating Procedures; assist in functional requirement documents.
- Interact with business users in issue resolution when needed and handle Service Requests in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the TO Manager to understand project delivery expectations, architect documentation, develop, configure, test, implement, and maintain SharePoint solutions/applications.
- Administrator duties include installing, configuring, and upgrading SharePoint systems, managing system operations and services, helping to train and support business users on SharePoint usage, and backing up SharePoint data.
- Create custom code applications, integrate and troubleshoot to meet specific business needs.
- Be able to understand end-user problems and develop a solution.
- Effectively perform streamlining and simplifying of processes in SharePoint.
