The Berlin Fire Department is looking for a committed individual to work in the main area of Project Management Office. In this responsible position, you will take on the management of interdisciplinary IT projects and actively shape the digitalization of our organization. You will work at the interface between technology, organization and administration and make a significant contribution to the further development of IT deployment – always in accordance with the requirements of the Senate Administration.

• The standardization of project management processes and structures: You develop and establish uniform procedures for effective project management
• the introduction of control tools: you implement tools to monitor project progress and control resources, budgets and schedules
• Coordinating interdisciplinary teams: you manage collaboration between specialist departments and the ES ICT division within your projects
• the analysis and optimization of IT project management structures: you carry out as-is analyses and develop implementation concepts for new IT processes and systems – from planning to implementation
• Policy work and consulting: You develop strategic IT principles, document them and advise both the management of the authorities and specialist users as well as employee representatives

• A completed (technical) university degree (Bachelor) in the field of computer science, industrial engineering with a focus on IT, economics with a focus on IT

• equivalent skills, knowledge and experience gained in the course of several years of corresponding activity, in particular at interfaces between administrative, organizational and ICT-related areas of responsibility

• Experience in the field of project management (e.g. PMBOK, Prince2 etc.), incl. agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience in the area of process design and organizational management (e.g. ITIL)
• Experience in conceptual work for project management (planning, research, concept creation, administration, realization)
• Experience in carrying out requirements analyses and user training
• Experience with IT processes and IT systems
