As part of the Invites Team , you\’ll play a key role in designing the foundation of our review funnel, optimizing email conditions to drive the best possible, GDPR-compliant click-through rates. Your Key Responsibilities as a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) Backend

• Collaborate with a High-Performing Cross-Functional Product Team : Work with Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and QA Engineers to develop core services for our eTrusted Feedback Platform
• Contribute to Innovative TypeScript and Java Microservices : Utilize event-driven architecture on AWS to shape and evolve our platform
• Focus on Backend Expertise : Design solutions for internal teams and external customers, evolving backend services and APIs to meet business needs
• Embrace the \“You Build It, You Own It\“ Culture : Take full ownership of services, guiding them from development to production, while also managing infrastructure monitoring and automation

A Typical Day as a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) Backend at Trusted Shops

• Start your day by setting up your remote workspace or adjusting your desk at the office.
• Check your personalized task manager to review projects, balancing short-term tasks with progress on larger Epics.
• Join the team standup to sync up on the sprint backlog or Kanban board, setting priorities and collaborating on shared goals.
• Focus on sprint stories, tasks, or bug fixes—working solo or teaming up with pair or mob programming as needed.
• Enjoy a flexible lunch break, whether it’s a home-cooked meal or a casual outing with colleagues at nearby restaurants.
• Spend the afternoon on focused work sessions, tailored to team dynamics and preferences.

What we’re looking for

• As a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) Backend , you have solid experience with Java , Spring Boot , TypeScript , and Node.js , alongside DynamoDB and PostgreSQL expertise
• You are proficient in cloud technologies , with hands-on experience in deploying and managing workloads using AWS Lambda , Kubernetes (K8s) , and AWS ECS
• You possess a strong understanding of the AWS ecosystem , including services related to computing, networking, and storage
• You have practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , particularly using Terraform for cloud automation
• You are committed to writing clean code , optimizing application performance , and ensuring thorough automated testing throughout the software development process
• You thrive in a collaborative environment , communicate fluently in English , and are passionate about achieving our company goals
