We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and highly motivated Business Manager for our CEO Office and Strategic Development team who will lead and support key central initiatives to further build out the global business. Within this exciting role you will report to the Head of CEO Office and Strategic Development. Your responsibilities will consist of both, your contribution to mid- to long-term strategic projects as well as the involvement in ad-hoc tasks or global taskforce initiatives.

As a member of the CEO Office and Strategic Development team, you will work very closely with the firm’s Executive Board Members as well as with various other functions within Allianz Global Investors and Allianz Group entities. Through frequent interactions with senior management and various functions on highly critical and important topics, you will gain deep knowledge across all aspects of the asset management business in various geographies.

The position is based in our Frankfurt or Munich office.

What you will do

• Support the development and implementation of Allianz Global Investors’ global strategy
• Lead and support inorganic projects along all phases, including strategic target assessment, valuation, due diligence and post-merger integration initiatives
• Lead strategic projects and initiatives with a global, regional and cross-functional scope
• Develop business plans and investment cases
• Drive external consulting and strategic organizational development projects
• Develop and prepare senior management presentations and relevant decision proposals for AllianzGI and Allianz SE governance bodies.

What you bring

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or similar field of study
• 5+ years relevant work experience, ideally several years in investment banking, deal advisory, consulting, asset management or a comparable position within the financial industry
• Deep understanding of corporate finance principles, financial modelling and valuation skills are a must
• Good understanding of the asset management industry
• Experience in managing strategic projects with shown impact on the business on a global basis
• Ability to work and communicate with colleagues across cultural backgrounds and seniority levels
• Proficient in English, additional language is a plus
• Ability to use ChatGPT, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
• High flexibility and mobility
• Professional knowledge of MS Office programs, in particular MS Excel and MS PowerPoint including the development of convincing presentations.
