Purpose of the Position
To deliver client assessments which will include assessing using a range of assessment tools and methodologies, assessment report writing, providing assessment feedback and managing the delivery of assessment client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Consultants will work on project teams with more seasoned practitioners and sales colleagues to deliver custom solutions that meet and exceed client expectations in the Assessment and Succession space.
Senior Consultants are expected to be autonomous in working up and proposing a solution or project plan internally and then implementing it once it has been signed off.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct competency-based interviews and simulation-based assessments, shadowing senior colleagues in a lead assessor role to further develop assessor skills.
- Interpret assessment data and write integrated assessment reports as well as review and quality assure other colleaguesâ reports.
- Deliver assessment feedback on full assessments or psychometric tools and develop coaching skills and real-time coaching capability to support identification of strengths and development opportunities.
- Deliver leadership development solutions, including (co-)facilitation and coaching.
- Independently manage small assessment projects or manage a defined workstream of a larger assessment project, including resource planning, drafting and implementing plans, briefing assessors, and managing PMO involvement in the project.
- Design and develop assessment materials, such as interview guides, report templates, and assessor briefing packs to contribute to high quality assessment work for clients.
- Develop client network, proactively reaching out to clients and prospects to discuss issues and needs and forming productive relationships. May be the lead consultant/account manager for smaller clients and manage client expectations and satisfaction.
- Contribute to winning profitable business by conducting background research, proposal writing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients in own expertise area.
- Identify trends, collate and distribute industry research/analysis and participate in methodology development activities to contribute to internal practice development and enhance understanding of client and sector issues.
- Proactively develop internal relationships outside of team/office including other knowledge experts.
- Be on the lookout for and identify opportunities that span across other KF practices and provide a high-level description of these services to clients.
- Continue to develop a strong internal brand with a network of Korn Ferry (KF) Advisory colleagues to receive guidance, leverage resources, identify additional sources of project work, etc.
- Work with and coordinate activities with colleagues across teams. Manage peers and more junior resources on projects. Provide guidance and coaching to more junior colleagues.
The Candidate
Experience And Professional Qualifications
- Typically, a relevant higher (Masterâs) degree with several yearsâ relevant work experience in assessment or succession, preferably in professional services, transformation or other related role (e.g., in an internal consultant role or within a human resources or assessment and selection department, delivering human capital-related services).
- Has established credentials in assessment or succession (experience depth and breadth) and is able to operate independently to design custom assessment solutions for clients.
- Able to lead assessment work-streams and understands the interrelationship of different streams of work in a larger project.
- Has developed and maintains knowledge and understanding of clients and industries, as well as current and future trends and challenges.
Skills and Competencies
- Continuous development of best-in-class assessment skills such as interviewing, data analysis, report writing, feedback, and group data and talent analytics.
- Strong project management skills.
- Consulting skills (e.g., client relationships, commercial impact and business insights).
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build excellent client relationships.
- Ability to look at the bigger picture as well as have a keen eye for detail.
- Creative and resolutive approach to problem solving.
- Curiosity to learn about new businesses, sector trends and solutions.
- Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel.
