At a glance
Do you want to deepen your knowledge by getting some work experience and as cherry on top doing your master thesis with a future-oriented company on a real-life topic? The KAI Competence Center for Automotive and Industrial Electronics was founded in 2006, is a 100% subsidiary of Infineon, and is located in the Villach Technology Park. The focus of our research is the reliability of power semiconductors in automotive and industrial applications. Our team in Villach is looking forward to receiving your application!
Job description
At KAI, we create reliability test methods and systems. For an existing power distribution test system, we plan to extend the functionality in the direction of mimicking fail-operational and highly available power distribution topologies and build up a system-level model within Matlabs Simscape.
Therefore, during your thesis project, we expect you to become a growing expert in high-level system modeling, with a strong focus on Automotive Power Distribution Topologies. This means you will need to acquire some special knowledge and perform dedicated tasks:
- Learn about Infineon’s Smart Power Switches and how to use them in power distribution topologies
- Improve your skills in high-level system modeling with state-of-the-art tools
- Evaluate different topologies and develop an evaluation scheme to scientifically compare them
- Design, build, and evaluate a working prototype
- Document your results by writing and submitting your Master thesis
This thesis has to be written in cooperation with an university.
