Fleet Superintendent (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Fleet Superintendent to join our Fleet Management Team as soon as possible, overseeing the technical management of our fleet.
Location: Northern Germany
Workplace: Onshore, as well as worldwide on board the vessels in our fleet.

You play a key role in initiating, planning, coordinating, executing, and ensuring the success of vessel operations to position our company as a leading, future-oriented, and sustainable ferry operator.

Responsibilities:

• Regular ship inspections, monitoring of certificates, class and third-party surveys, as well as establishing and maintaining ship documentation
• Planning, coordination, and execution of projects, service operations, and dockings, including operational project management
• Implementation, review, and management of the maintenance program (PMS), standardization of technical procedures, and development of technical guidelines
• Preparation and monitoring of the budget (OPEX) and handling of insurance claims
• Introduction of new software, support for refits and restructuring measures, and assistance to the crew
• Taking over representation duties of Technical Superintendents within the fleet and harmonizing technical processes

Qualifications:

• You have a degree in marine engineering, nautical sciences, or a comparable technical field; alternatively, a completed vocational qualification with relevant professional experience in the maritime industry
• You bring 3-5 years of professional experience in the maritime industry and have successfully handled, led, presented, and completed complex technical projects
• In-depth knowledge of national and international safety regulations and standards in the maritime sector
• You demonstrate a solution-oriented approach, strong analytical thinking, and ensure your actions are always aligned with the company’s long-term goals
• You possess intercultural experience, have excellent proficiency in German and English, and navigate confidently through challenging situations with different audiences thanks to your strong communication skills
• Experience with various software systems for ship maintenance and performance management
• Willingness to travel internationally to our ships and subsidiaries rounds off your profile
