For our portfolio of automated solutions for cell line development, we are looking for a Technical Program Manager (m/f/d) – Automation Workcells Biopharma to join our headquarters in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
As Technical Program Manager (m/f/d) – Automation Workcells Biopharma, you will be responsible for driving the growth and evolution of our business with off-the-shelf automation workcells . You will lead the strategic planning and execution of initiatives to expand our product portfolio, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the automation workcell business, including identifying new market opportunities and product enhancements, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to align product development, marketing strategies, and customer support efforts
- Oversee project management activities, including timeline management, budgeting, and resource allocation, to ensure successful realization of customer projects from order to installation
- Provide leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with our international key customers in the field of therapeutic antibody development, cell & gene therapy to ensure smooth operations and to understand and implement future requirements of modern cell line development & manufacturing workflows.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Multiple years of experience in lab automation, with a strong technical background
- Demonstrated understanding of customer domain and commercial experience in the life sciences industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving business growth
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to impact and collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is beneficial.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites globally (up to 20%)
