Sales Territory Manager (m/f/d) RVI – Region North UK/ Scotland

Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Evident employs around 4,500 people at a total of 57 locations worldwide. Evident Europe, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, employs approximately 770 people in 16 countries. The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, as well as in various industrial areas. In addition, Evident offers videoscopes, products for non-destructive testing techniques and for X-ray fluorescence analysis.

As a Territory Manager, you are the first point of contact for our customers in the region North UK – which covers complete Scotland with a focus on the Central Belt. You will demonstrate our broad range of products in the RVI sector to our customers and coordinate sales. Our customers vary in sectors and your day-to-day will bring a great deal of variety to you.

Responsibilities

  1. You define and execute a territory business plan aligned with the strategic goals.
  2. You effectively manage the territory sales pipeline to ensure financial targets are met by leading and taking full ownership of all sales process activities from first contact to closing deals.
  3. You schedule commercial visits and product demonstration visits.
  4. You prepare written presentations, reports, and budgets.
  5. You provide after-sales assistance by delivering commissioning and customer training.
  6. You develop and deliver customer sales presentations as per customer requirements.
  7. You work collaboratively to ensure a one Evident approach to our customers by developing and managing positive customer relationships.
  8. You drive continuous improvement by taking ownership of your professional development to support your growth within the organisation.
  9. You represent the organisation at exhibitions and customer workshops and work across a wide variety of environments, including high-end research in academia and the UK Manufacturing quality assurance and R&D facilities within several industries.
  10. You implement and work to all applicable regulatory, quality, health & safety and environmental requirements as stipulated within our internal Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
  11. You provide technical, commercial and marketing information on the presence of competitors in the relevant geographical area.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Engineering preferably Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Physics.
  2. Previous experience of at least 4/5 years in similar commercial roles, preferably in the visual inspection sector and in the market of scientific solutions in the industrial field.
  3. Previous working experience with RVI.
  4. Experience with Industrial Video Borescopes or Industrial Fiberscopes is preferred.
  5. Knowledge of the main industrial stakeholders in the assigned territories.
  6. Good knowledge of the English language (written and oral expression).
  7. Strong commercial attitudes, good relational and problem-solving skills.
  8. Full clean UK driving licence.
  9. Competent user of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  10. Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills and the ability to present technical information in a structured and balanced way.
  11. High level of technical aptitude and strong commercial acumen.
  12. Flexibility in working hours is required, the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Annual leave entitlement of 26 days (3 days may be required to be reserved for Christmas closure).
