  • We conduct top research in (regional) economics using big data.
  • We are curious to understand how individuals, cities, and regions develop skills and prosperity.
  • We utilize innovative sources of big data, such as social media, school books, or phone directories.
  • You contribute deep expertise in machine learning (image recognition, classification etc.) to our research.
  • You develop tools to extract data from original sources such as satellite imagery, books, or photographs.
  • You are open to teaching responsibilities at TU Braunschweig.
  • You hold a PhD in Data Science (with basics in Economics) or Economics (with a focus on Data Science).
  • You are enthusiastic about using and developing machine learning tools.
  • You demonstrate excellent proficiency in English.
  • You are motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player.
