Project Manager (Ship building) Rostock, Germany

Job Responsibilities

1. Assume overall responsibility for the commissioning of ship objects and lead your project team in a professional manner.
2. Ensure that all project-specific targets are developed and adhered to.
3. Regularly coordinate with other company departments, e.g. with the technical offices.
4. Check and compare the commissioning and test documents with construction contracts, specifications and legal requirements.
5. Prepare regular reports and evaluations on the project status.
6. Carry out comprehensive risk management and initiate appropriate measures in the event of deviations from the targets.
7. Organize and take part in commissioning and transfer trips.
8. Manage the interfaces between all companies and departments of the shipyard involved.
9. Ensure quality, update test specifications and construction documents and document the quality standards.
10. Responsible for the acceptance and handover of the entire object.
11. Ensure that occupational safety is guaranteed on the projects and objects you manage.

Minimum Requirements

1. Technical degree or comparable training. Switching authorization and STCW-relevant certificates are desirable.
2. Several years of professional experience in commissioning and technical project management.
3. Familiar with document management systems, databases and MS Office.
4. Good communication and teamwork skills.
5. Work in a solution-oriented and structured manner.
