REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Manager New Product Introduction in Winston Salem, NC

Manage new product introduction projects in the factory towards its successful implementation. Drive process standardization and improvements in factory NPI area. Develop factory capability matrix and coordinate execution of the projects with cross-functional factory teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving successful implementation of NPI projects in the factory.
  • Developing projects plans with inputs from factory functional experts (in engineering, production engineering, process engineering and other production departments).
  • Developing and training of factory processes to ensure successful implementation of projects (check lists, mapped processes, coordination meetings).
  • Ensuring appropriate engineering and process capability checks are being performed prior to deployment of new products.
  • Coordinating product validation process (cigarette validations, factory tests).
  • Facilitating meetings and provide visibility of project/activity status to cross-functional team members.
  • Ensuring maintained factory engineering capability matrix.
  • Driving projects post implementation reviews and follow-ups to improve factory service in terms of capacity, capability and quality.
  • Developing and implementation best practices, common platforms, sharing experience knowledge with other functions and factory within the operations.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or; Licensure as a Professional Engineer, with 3+ years progressive experience – Associate Degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of progressive experience or; 3+ years relevant work experience in a technical field.
  • Strong written and verbal skills with ability to communicate effectively across different levels in the organization.
  • Project management experience with ability to simultaneously manage complex projects.
  • Process mapping and development experience.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Leadership, team working skills and motivational capacity.
  • Ability to build partnership with stakeholders.
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate where potential issues may arise.
