Clinical Project Developer 80-100% (Temporary 10 - 12 months)

The Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research ( is the cancer research network in Switzerland and employs over 70 people at the Competence Center of SAKK. In line with our vision “We bring progress to cancer care” , we have been conducting clinical trials in oncology as a non-profit organization since 1965.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and independent personality as

Your tasks:

1. Manage study applications from SAKK research groups.
2. Support investigators in developing and evaluating new study ideas (design, budget, accrual).
3. Represent the SAKK coordination center in research groups and manage study applications for internal evaluations.
4. Lead and manage clinical trials in development, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, budget, and timelines and perform regular risk assessments.
5. Write and prepare international or national SAKK study protocols and review other associated clinical study documentation (study plans, guidelines and manuals, patient informed consents).
6. Manage and prepare ethical and regulatory submissions in collaboration with the SAKK Regulatory Affairs Unit.
7. Ensure efficient and timely activation of studies in collaboration with the Clinical Operations Team.
8. Be responsible for contract negotiations with external stakeholders.
9. Serve as the central contact person for the investigators, sponsors and/or pharmaceutical companies throughout the development phase.
10. Author, revise and update SOPs, Work Instructions, and other relevant documents.

Who you are:

1. Medical or scientific degree (e.g. biology, biochemistry, or pharmacy).
2. Experience in the development of clinical trials.
3. Knowledge of the regulatory environment, including current national and international legislation and guidelines.
4. Customer-oriented mindset, combined with good networking skills.
5. Proactive, team-oriented, and resilient, with assertiveness, self-motivation, and focus on solutions.
6. Strong organizational awareness and understanding of change management.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, good proficiency in German is a plus.
