PUBLIC AREA INTERIOR ENGINEER / DESIGNER – MEGAYACHTS AND CRUISE SHIP

Middle Point Germany is closely collaborating with one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world to recruit an experienced and passionate shipbuilding engineer with exposure in layout architecture for public areas such as restaurants, bars, spas, and theaters.

INTERIOR ENGINEER / DESIGNER: MEGAYACHTS AND CRUISE SHIP – TASKS

1. Technical management of the assigned project team
2. Support in capacity planning for the project
3. Ensure the development and compliance of project-specific targets
4. Process implementation and reporting of process weaknesses to the department head
5. Status reporting to the sub-project manager and the department head
6. Regular exchange/coordination with other areas of the company (such as purchasing, production, etc.)
7. Contact person for suppliers, class and customers
8. Negotiation and technical coordination in cooperation with purchasing with customers, suppliers and class
9. Project costing and weight forecasting responsibilities
10. Derivation and implementation of measures in the event of target deviations from the project
11. Implementation of risk management with regard to the project goals to be met
12. Control of change procedures/processes

INTERIOR ENGINEER / DESIGNER: MEGAYACHTS AND CRUISE SHIP – REQUIREMENTS

1. 5+ years relevant experience; shipbuilding experience is mandatory
2. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field
3. Ideally, with first-hand experience in project management
4. Strong planning, solution-oriented and structured
5. Excellent communication skills at all levels
6. Business English is critical; German language skills are a great plus
7. Dedicated, flexible and resilient
8. EU citizen or with valid Germany visa residency
