Overview: The PCB Designer will be responsible for designing and developing printed circuit boards (PCBs) for wearable IoMT devices that meet medical standards. This role requires precision and a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and medical device standards. Working remotely on a part-time basis, you will design PCBs that are reliable, efficient, and compliant with medical regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Design PCB layouts, schematics, and assembly documentation for medical devices using CAD software.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure designs meet electrical and mechanical system requirements.
- Perform board-level testing and validation to ensure designs meet functional specifications and regulatory compliance.
- Manage PCB fabrication and assembly from prototyping to production.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and technology advancements in PCB design.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electronics and circuit design, especially for medical applications.
- Knowledge of industry standards for medical device PCB design, including ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting and communicate effectively across different time zones.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in PCB design, with a preference for experience in the medical device industry.
- Experience with EMC compliance and medical device certification processes.
Work Mode:
- Remote and part-time position, offering flexibility to work from anywhere.
- Requires effective project management skills to handle multiple projects and adhere to strict timelines.
