Our Product & Process Quality Management Specialties functional area is responsible for the implementation and realization of HSEQ-related processes and procedures worldwide for all areas of the Coatings & Adhesives, Elastomers, Thermoplastic Urethanes and Specialty Films business entities. Product safety, health protection and the quality of our products and business processes are thus reliably ensured and continuously improved. This is regularly audited by certification bodies and customers.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
- In your new role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the Covestro Integrated Management System (IMS) and Q-related customer requirements are implemented and adhered to Specialties Businesses, e.g. Elastomers and TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes).
- Implementing and maintaining the Q-processes and procedures of a solid HSEQ management system as well as supporting through identification and reporting of performance indicators and statistical evaluations are part of your tasks.
- You will be responsible for qualifying the manufacturing of products for sensitive applications in accordance with legal obligations and Covestro’s product stewardship requirements, e.g. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- You will actively support the Operations departments in the implementation of product quality and process-related requirements and support the departments in the role of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Specialist (m/f/d).
- Furthermore, you will support overarching product safety topics and customer inquiries on product safety, quality and chemical law aspects.
- In addition, you will identify new customer/market requirements that need to be implemented. This is also secured via the SAP QM and PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) IT platforms, for which you will manage quality data in notifications and specifications.
- In addition, you will manage all TPU quality assurance agreements (customers, suppliers) in coordination with TPU.
- Finally, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of customer audits and inspections of quality bodies in accordance with the standards for quality management (ISO 9001), as well as important aspects of the requirements of the automotive industry (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
What you offer:
- You hold a university degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s) in chemistry, chemical engineering or a similar technical field, preferably with several years of professional experience in production or in dealing with HSEQ management systems.
- Ideally, you have strong experience in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, GMP as well as Lean Six Sigma and project management experience.
- Knowledge of business processes and product development is preferred.
- You bring knowledge of SAP QM and PLM.
- You are characterized by high competence in the areas of communication, motivation and leadership as well as analytical skills and systematic process-oriented thinking.
- Moreover, you have a high willingness to expand your knowledge.
- A high level of team spirit and cultural openness are among your competences.
- Fluent English skills, written and spoken, round up your profile.
