As Area Sales Manager in Mannheim, it is your exciting task to facilitate the energy transition by a cutting-edge product portfolio. You are responsible for driving, implementing, reporting, and monitoring the progress of the service sales strategy, developing trends for identifying and winning new business, developing contract strategy and project proposals based on policies, customer requirements, budgets, and timescales ensuring they meet agreed technical standards.
Your responsibilities
- Contribute to and implement the High Voltage Service sales strategy to achieve business goals and secure the competitive edge.
- Identify and grow potential customers and market segments where our service offerings can add value.
- Take responsibility for dedicated customer groups/countries/regions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all respective management levels.
- Provide technical and sales expertise to educate customers about the benefits of our service offerings (technically and commercially).
- Work closely with internal local teams around the globe to ensure seamless delivery of services and address customer needs effectively.
- Lead the strategic development of proposals for service projects, ensuring they align with customer requirements.
- Stay abreast of market trends to identify new opportunities and adapt our service offerings accordingly.
- Prepare smart offerings including value-based selling approaches.
- Take commercial responsibility and lead negotiations including discussions on T&C/contract.
- Drive stakeholder management across different management levels, both internal and external.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by resolving disputes promptly, maintaining open lines of communication, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Your background
- Degree (Bachelor/Master) in a technical/engineering discipline and, ideally, further qualification in business administration.
- Working experience in Sales and customer acquisition as well as knowledge of the Energy market.
- Proven experience in the energy industry, with product know-how in the field of High Voltage Products.
- Very good command of written and verbal English; additional languages like German or Spanish would be beneficial.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to convince.
- Understanding of customers and sales channels.
- Eager to develop yourself, support your peers, and our customers.
