NVH / Sound Design Engineer (Frankfurt)

A Japanese plastic parts manufacturer is currently recruiting a German-speaking NVH / Sound Design Engineer for plastic gears used by automotive clients to cope with demands due to shift to EVs. Understanding of Japanese language or Japanese culture is advantageous.

NVH / Sound Design Engineer Main Responsibilities:

1. Main point of contact for existing customers and potential customers regarding technical issues they are facing and questions about their gear solutions
2. In close cooperation with the R&D in Japan, analyze the situation and develop solutions
3. Close collaboration with sales, seek potential business opportunities and acquire new business
4. Demonstrations of our gear solutions at the customer’s site and via teams meeting
5. Contact person for customers and interested parties for technical questions, creation of technical documentation, and proposal packages
6. Conducting gear courses at the customer’s site or in Düsseldorf / Frankfurt
7. NVH Analysis and Testing (Conduct noise, vibration, and harshness testing on automotive components and systems)

NVH / Sound Design Engineer Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in NVH engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
• Specialization and experience in NVH or sound design
• German and English are a must, Japanese is a plus
• Proficiency in NVH testing equipment and software (e.g., LMS Test.Lab, Brüel & Kjær)
• Strong understanding of vibration analysis, acoustics, and modal analysis
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Nastran)
