Job type: Full-Time Position
Duties:
- Develop course materials and lesson plans tailored to the language proficiency levels and objectives outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Conduct language classes in Russian-Ukrainian, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements and quality standards specified in the PWS.
- Employ effective teaching methodologies, techniques, and resources to engage students and facilitate language learning.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support skill development.
- Adapt instruction based on student needs, learning styles, and proficiency levels to optimize learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and instructional support staff to enhance instructional effectiveness and promote a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Linguistics, Foreign Language Teaching, or a related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and Ukrainian languages.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Russian-Ukrainian to adult learners, preferably in a military or international educational setting.
- Familiarity with language proficiency levels and standards, such as the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale or the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in English language, both oral and written.
- Experience developing curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments for language instruction.
- Knowledge of instructional technologies and multimedia resources for language teaching.
