ABOUT THE JOB

Gunzilla Games is looking for a 2D Skin Artist to join us in working on OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter, currently available as Early Access on PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Our ideal candidate should have strong experience as a concept artist in the game development industry and be capable of creating high-quality weapon skin concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES As a 2D Skin Artist, you will:

  • Create outstanding Weapon concepts, including detailed callouts for production-ready asset creation that adheres to and enhances the game’s tone, mood, and aesthetic.
  • Deliver thumbnail sketches, model sheets, and full-color finished concept art of characters, props, and environments.
  • Take art and design requirements and provide creative solutions to challenging briefs.
  • Collaborate with team members from all disciplines to drive our creative vision forward.
  • Collaborate closely with the art director to incorporate the feedback and fulfill requirements regarding style, tone, atmosphere, etc.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential risks related to production timelines or quality.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 4 years of experience as a PC and console AAA game concept artist.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (Maya, ZBrush, Blender, etc.)
  • Proficient in Photoshop or similar 2D art software.
  • An impressive portfolio showcasing outstanding skills in illustration, concept art, loading screens, UI components, and more, produced to a high standard that features artwork including creatures, weapons, props, and surroundings.
  • A deep understanding of composition, movement, energy, and the ability to create visually captivating images.
  • Firm grasp of anatomy, body proportions, musculature, and skeletal structure.
