We have been retained by a leading energy market platform which connects renewable energy project developers with customers for their PPA and asset sale needs via their very successful marketplaces. This platform delivers buyers, sellers, advisors, and financiers the automation software, data management, and standardized contracts needed to facilitate faster, safer renewable energy transactions. They have doubled their revenue for the past 3 years and have just received series D fundraising, so are therefore continuing to scale their business globally.

To facilitate their growth in Germany, they are now looking to hire a German-speaking Senior Engagement Manager who will essentially be a customer focused account manager for Central-European renewable energy project developers, focused on securing full engagement on all of their products as they grow in Europe. This role can be based in one of their offices or remote.

THE ROLE

  1. Own and manage key developer customer accounts.
  2. Identify, qualify and onboard new European developers and asset owners.
  3. Demonstrate the value of their services to catalyze robust participation on Energy and Asset Marketplaces.
  4. Drive Energy Seller initiated processes (Energy Auction).
  5. Spearhead new European business opportunities based on market research.
  6. Promote developer success by presenting transaction opportunities, managing ongoing developer follow up.
  7. Support European PPA and M&A transactions (RFPs and auctions), including notifying developers, providing updates, won/lost, developer report feedback.
  8. Support communications strategy, including PR, social media, events, newsletters, thought leadership pieces, white papers, attending conferences, etc.

THE CANDIDATE

  1. A degree from an accredited college/university and relevant work experience in the renewable energy industry (5+ years of experience).
  2. Experienced in European energy markets and PPAs.
  3. Energy development, advisory and/or M&A experience.
  4. Understanding of energy industry trends, challenges, opportunities.
  5. Ability to travel.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
  7. Exceptional attention to detail.
  8. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  9. An interest and aptitude in building and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  10. Initiative and self-motivation to work independently with limited supervision.
  11. A high level of integrity.
  12. Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and other professional software.
  13. Professional fluency in English and German, other European languages are a plus.
