Non Nocere was founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2020 to create an easy- to-reach and affordable tool that will bring disruptive change to the world of surgeon training, which suffers from time and budget constraints. We build simulators that use virtual reality technologies for tomorrow’s surgical training that provides an unlimited surgical knowledge learning experience. The Technology Team is responsible for the design and development of new products defined by the Learning Team in collaboration with our consultant surgeons.

Overview
As a 3D Artist, you will be responsible for creating compelling and accurate 3D animations of surgical procedures. You will be building high quality assets while maintaining the creative vision and technical specifications of the product features.
This role requires exceptional realism, quality modelling, texturing, and lighting skills. You will be actively participating in design, technical and artistic problem solving. You will be working within a dynamic 3D team, and you will learn and adapt rapidly while working in Agile mode.
Responsibilities
Technical responsibilities
- Create in-game environments that are technically and aesthetically compliant with the simulation.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models of the human body and medical devices.
- Create and apply texture maps to the specification set by the subject matter experts.
- Setup of dynamic lighting, post effects, and basic scene animation.
- Work with the 3D design and Software Development teams to ensure consistency between the vision and implementation of assets.

Required Experience
- University degree in art and / or 3D modeling or having comparable professional experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in 3D animation and UI / UX design.
- Proficiency in developing and applying 3D modeling processes and relevant tools (Maya, 3D Max, Z-Brush, Substance Designer etc.).
- Experience with a game engine, ability to import, shade, rig models, preferably Unity.
- Demonstrate fluency with real-time development tools and environments.
- Ability to articulate artistic criteria and decisions with verbal and visual communication skills.
- Ability to watch surgical operations
- Understanding of surgical anatomy and landmarks is desirable.
- A portfolio of projects that demonstrate your design expertise.
- Confidence and ability to communicate in English is mandatory.
