What you do with us:
Her main areas of activity are research and development work for safe, trustworthy electronics within the framework of research projects with partners from science and for customers from industry.
- Chip development of new, open architectures, based on the RISC-V instruction set, for targeted adaptation and hardening of processors for embedded systems.
- Implementation in hardware and firmware on FPGAs and microcontrollers.
- Development of analog circuits, systems, and algorithms for physical unclonable functions, manipulation detection, and hardware fingerprinting.
- Side Channel and Error Attacks in the Hardware Security Lab.
- You will also have a wide range of opportunities to publish your scientific results and, provided you are suitable, you will receive support for a doctoral project.
What you bring to the table:
Knowledge of at least one of the following areas: hardware design, digital design, analog design, hardware-software co-design, FPGA design, metrology, circuit design, or communications engineering.
Knowledge of current instruction sets and architectures for embedded processors (especially RISC-V) is advantageous.
Knowledge and relevant experience in IT security or cryptography (professional or private) is an advantage.
A high level of learning ability, motivation, and willingness to experiment as well as strong skills for independent, goal-oriented work.
A high interest in information security as well as in the research and practical implementation of secure electronic systems.
High ability to work in a team.
You have a command of German (at least level B2) and English, both written and spoken.
