Staff/Engineer - System (R&D)

Responsibilities:

1. Design and align with other technical leaders to create system concepts and architectures, which represent the solutions based on system requirements and include the evaluation of design alternatives.
2. Refine the system requirements and break down the system requirements to the sub-domains in collaboration with HW, SW, Safety, Security and Validation experts.
3. Document and communicate decision according to system designs and architecture to the responsible engineers and follow up the status of implementation.
4. Guide and drive the implementation of solutions both within and beyond the scope of your team.
5. Work closely with mechanical, electronics and software team to ensure design solutions able to meet the product specifications.
6. Work in an international environment and in close collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders.
7. Plan, coordinate and test hardware prototypes.
8. Develop product test plan together with design team and quality engineers.
9. Guide test engineers / participate in new product testing and validation.
10. Provide status reporting of the tasks according to project plan.
11. Responsible to drive integration of product/system with manufacturing system/process at Penang Power Pools plant.
12. Ensure product meet certification requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Degree/Master in Mechatronic / electronics / software engineering.
2. Knowledge and experience in electronics design of embedded system, embedded software, mechanical design are preferred.
3. Experience in simulation tools to support design calculations and documentation.
4. Enjoyed problems solving and technical challenges.
5. Can communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms.
6. Strong focus on results.
7. Fluent in spoken and written English.
