OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The Department of Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals (IVB) aims to enhance the impact of vaccines and immunization programs. Key objectives include:
- Establishing global immunization agendas and strategies.
- Promoting research and innovation in vaccines.
- Advancing evidence-based access to vaccines.
- Optimizing immunization delivery for sustainable programs.
- Collaborating with partners towards universal health coverage.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Coordinate immunization data collections with stakeholders.
- Oversee the Global Monitoring Team’s data management efforts.
- Enhance global information systems related to immunization.
- Liaise with vendors and plan training activities.
- Contribute to IA2030 data reporting and enhance reporting processes.
- Ensure proper dissemination of immunization data across repositories.
- Provide technical support to regional and country offices.
- Interpret and provide strategic input to support country impact.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Essential: Advanced university degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Epidemiology, or related fields.
- Desirable: PhD in a related field.
Experience:
- At least seven years of experience in data management and graphic presentation of data.
- At least five years in immunization data management and analysis.
- Experience with information system developers.
- International experience and familiarity with WHO or UN organizations.
Skills:
- Technical skills in data modeling and data warehousing.
- Expertise in MS Excel and analytical software.
- Knowledge of immunization systems and vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
Language Skills:
- Essential: Expert knowledge of English.
- Desirable: Knowledge of French and Spanish.
REMUNERATION
The annual base salary starts at USD 77,326, with additional benefits including 30 days of annual leave.
