Skill Team Leader Calibration Spark Ignition & Operation Strategy f/m/d
Our team of experts in the field of calibration is responsible for the series application of gasoline engines as well as the operating strategy including energy management for all drive types. The team of around 40 employees in Graz and a further 15 colleagues in Hungary and Turkey has decades of experience in challenging projects.
In this key strategic role, you will take on the disciplinary leadership of the team, shape the further development of the business area and set innovative impulses. You can build on an experienced team with an established lead engineer structure, with which you will meet the current changes in the automotive industry with vision and innovative strength.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disciplinary and professional leadership as well as promoting the professional development of the “Calibration Spark Ignition & Operation Strategy” team
- Adapting the service portfolio to future market requirements and further developing innovative skills
- Working closely with international locations and specialist teams, as well as actively exchanging ideas within the global AVL calibration network
- Maintaining customer relationships, identifying new project opportunities and ensuring competitive offers
- Optimizing existing processes and services and establishing innovative methods
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed education (University or University of Applied Sciences, TU or comparable) with a focus on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, control engineering or related engineering or natural sciences
- At least 2 years of experience in the calibration of combustion engine drives
- In-depth knowledge of global requirements in exhaust and consumption approval
- Experience in leading employees using a cooperative management style
- Entrepreneurial thinking and sales talent combined with the ability to work in a team, creativity and a sense of responsibility
- Willingness to travel 15 percent (worldwide)
- Business fluent knowledge in German and English for team leadership and customer meetings

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €110,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
