ISS is looking to hire a qualified
Upper School Drama Teacher
Full-time starting in August 2025. This position is initially for two years. Candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree and qualified teacher certification and should:
- Have a minimum of five years teaching experience in Upper School theatre (grades 9-12)
- Have experience teaching MYP and DP Theatre
- Have experience directing and leading the current Drama productions
- Be committed to a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
- Have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of children and young people
- Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
- Value and respect the views and needs of children and young people
Candidates must:
- Be committed to building a varied theatre arts schedule including student written and directed productions
- Develop an Upper School Performing Arts season in conjunction with other department educational themes
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Model lifelong learning through the integration of technology in the classroom
- Evidence the ability to inspire engagement in a differentiated classroom environment
