Technical Coordinator for Anticipatory Action
We are seeking a Technical Coordinator for Anticipatory Action to join our growing and internationally operating organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to act independently and make a difference with your commitment and dedication.
Responsibilities:
- Advising partners in developing early action protocols
- Managing early action protocols jointly with partners in Asia and Africa
- Consolidating early warning information on the priority risks and supporting the selection of key indicators for primary climate risks
- Identifying early warning triggers, i.e., the risk level thresholds for forecast-based financing scenarios of local responders and affected populations
- Ensuring and managing finance mechanisms for build and fuel phase
- Developing and mainstreaming tools and methods in Anticipatory Action for ADRA Germany and partners
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of relevant practical experience in Anticipatory Action
- Sound background in Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Assistance
- Experience or familiarity with climate risk surveillance or monitoring systems, post-disaster needs recovery, risk and hazards mapping, and/or profiling and market analysis
- Very good language skills in English and potentially French; German and other language skills are an advantage
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills
- Very good culturally sensitive advisory skills
- Consulting and networking expertise
