Summary
This role is for a Product Specialist who is part of the Product Management team for SAP BTP HANA & Persistency at SAP. As a member of the team, you will work to maximize the adoption, consumption, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction of our cloud database products; ensure customer success; drive collaboration between engineering, customer success, marketing, and other cross-functional units; research market and competition; and articulate our technical capabilities into understandable business value.
What You’ll Do
- Support the development and execution of the product strategy
- Gather and prioritize product requirements
- Support maximizing product adoption, migration, retention, and expansion activities
- Administer feedback gathering programs, respond to customer queries, and monitor online communities
- Create sample programs for new technology as well as writing technical assets and whitepapers
- Assist in the testing of new features during their beta cycles
- Develop and deliver documents, product demonstrations, webcasts, and other related activities with team members
What You’ll Bring
- Strategic mindset

- Knowledge of SAP’s cloud Database, Data Management, and Analytics portfolio
- Knowledge of the Database, Data Management, and Analytics market
- Knowledge of database and cloud database technologies
- Excellent knowledge of SAP database technologies: SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA, SAP ASE, SAP IQ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal, external, and C-level audiences
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of database administration/management tools and application development (SQL, JDBC)
- German language proficiency
- Experience in product-related roles in the Database, Data Management, or Analytics space
- Customer and field-facing roles
