Your Responsibilities
You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of new trends and applications in the field of International Logistics & Transportation Management as well as in teaching students from various cultures.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of International Logistics & Transportation Management, TQM & Supply Chain Management, Green Logistics & Sustainability, Maritime-/Land-, City- and Air-Logistics. Candidates are not expected to be expert in all these areas but should be able to give lectures in at least two of them.
- Planning and implementation of research and development projects including publication activities in the field of business administration.
- Advising and supervising students.
- Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master, and doctoral theses.
- Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Hamburg location.
- Administrative activities and committee work.
- Advising prospective students.
Requirements for professorship:
- University studies completed with a master degree.
- Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications.
- Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university.
