Join a leading telecom business in Bern as a System Engineer (VMware). This pivotal role offers the opportunity to be the single point of contact for the global virtual server infrastructure, making significant contributions to the organisation’s technical operations.
As a System Engineer VMware, you will play a crucial role in managing our client’s global virtual server infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Head of Infrastructure, you will ensure the seamless operation of the system engineering team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the single point of contact for the global virtual server infrastructure
- Assisting the team with storage management, utilising NetApp solutions
- Leading projects for the installation and upgrade of infrastructure
- Handling servers running on both Linux and Windows
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience with VMware and virtual server management
- Proficiency in managing storage solutions with NetApp
- Integrity and team player mentality
- STEM degree(s) or equivalent certifications
- EU/EFTA citizenship and fluent English skills, German is a big plus
