YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Develop and qualify products and manufacturing processes for newly purchased parts in close collaboration with internal departments and suppliers.
- Lead the APQP process, developing suppliers and products until successful PPAP approval and production readiness in line with Canyon and customer requirements.
- Ensure the timely delivery of PPAP, , and products.
- Maintain and build business relationships with suppliers, conducting regular capability assessments.
- Develop, approve, and maintain material and quality documents, as well as quality assurance procedures.
- Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management.
- Conduct regular supplier visits and audits (both proactive and reactive).
- Escalate supplier performance issues and work closely with other departments to resolve quality and delivery problems.
- Perform root cause analysis at suppliers and internally to ensure continuous supply.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- A successfully completed technical degree in mechanical engineering, materials technology, industrial engineering, or a comparable field of study.
- Professional experience in quality management, e.g., in complaints management, VDA maturity level process, AIAG APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, problem solving (8D), Six Sigma, lean management, etc.
- Preferably experienced and qualified in supplier auditing.
- An outgoing personality with strong communication and analytical skills.
- An independent and responsible way of working, with a high willingness to perform and learn.
- Confident and familiar with the use of SAP (or comparable ERP or QA systems).
- A very good command of written and spoken English.
- Enthusiastic about our products with a strong affinity for cycling.
- A high willingness to travel.
- Proficient in using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
