What You Will Do

We are currently seeking an adaptable, successful, and experienced Business Development Manager to join one of our Partner Success Teams. The goal for this individual is to identify new opportunities with the largest, most strategic partners, and provide them with all the resources they need to achieve their growth objectives, further helping Klarna become everyone’s favorite way to shop. To succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven, have a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures, and possess the desire to build a business from the ground up.

  • Build and execute jointly agreed-upon business plans with partners or merchants to drive mutual growth and success.
  • Work closely with internal analysts, delivery, and marketing teams at Klarna to drive enablement and lead generation activities.
  • Identify new partnerships or business opportunities, pitch Klarna’s services, and close deals.
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including c-suite.
  • Create and deliver/present Quarterly Business Reviews to members of partners’ c-suite teams.
  • Play an important role in taking Klarna to the next level.

    Who You Are

  • Retail, payments, and/or e-commerce experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing business relationships.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.

    Awesome to Have
  • Experience working in a global company or with international partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales management software.
