Lead the Enterprise Services Group for Australia\’s corporate, markets, financial services and consumer credit regulator

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer

A broad and challenging remit, including Finance and Business Services.

National position – all locations considered.

The purpose

To ensure that ASIC\’s Finance and Business Services functions are managed efficiently and effectively to enable ASIC to execute on its strategic priorities, help maintain the integrity of the financial system and protect consumers from harm.

As Executive Director, you will work closely with ASIC\’s Chair, Commission, and CEO to provide strategic and high-quality advice on financial, budget management, and critical business services. You will oversee major organisational projects that focus on ASIC\’s transformation, implement government initiatives, business innovation, and process and policy improvements.

The team

You will be accountable for the Enterprise Services Group that has a range of critical functions each led by a high-performing senior executive team comprising:

  • Finance (led by the Chief Financial Officer)
  • Procurement, Property and Contracts
  • Performance Reporting and Planning

The teams also provide a range of support, advice, and analysis across ASIC and are instrumental in enabling ASIC to be a modern effective regulator and enforcement agency.

About you

To be successful in this challenging and rewarding position, you will bring an exceptional set of capabilities and experience that will benefit the organisation and the community we serve. The anticipated expertise would include leading a significant public and/or private sector finance and operations function, and extensive experience working with CEOs, boards, or public sector equivalent. Naturally, you will be a highly effective communicator across all levels and can demonstrate a deep understanding of working within a government or relevant agency context.
