The role
We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer (f/m/x) to join our team in Berlin (hybrid on-site).
You will be deeply involved in all things testing: automating testing procedures, adding to and improving tests, running system tests (including manual tests) and ensuring our product’s high quality. This key role within our organisation involves enhancing our suite of automated tests—including end-to-end tests, 24/7 physical robot setup tests, comprehensive UI tests, and unit tests. You will own the test code stack, lead the integration of innovative testing tools, and uphold the highest quality standards across all product lines. By taking charge of our product’s quality lifecycle, you will implement best practices and ensure our systems meet rigorous benchmarks. Ideal candidates are proactive, strategic, and analytical thinkers with hands-on coding experience in test automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated test suites for end-to-end API and UI testing
- Collaborate with software developers and quality assurance team members to identify test scenarios and automate them efficiently
- Own our quality assurance through the automated tests, involving software quality, end-to-end product functionality, robot motion quality, and product stability
- Follow advanced test automation strategies and utilize test management tools to organize test cases
- Oversee the quality assurance lifecycle for the MIRAI product, setting high standards for software integrity
- Innovate and improve testing frameworks by adopting cutting-edge tools and methodologies
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in test automation, ideally in an independent or in a lead role
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary testing methodologies, including automated and manual testing strategies
- Experience in automating API and UI tests using industry-standard tools and technologies
- Experience in Python (writing clean and maintainable code)
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, particularly with Jenkins
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Proficiency in Pytest , Maestro UI test platform, Qase QA platform
- Experience in testing robotics or mechatronics solutions for motion quality assurance (e.g., jerk-free, smooth, and precise robot actions)
