Our clients, a mixture of national and international contractors and large client-side and government entities, are seeking Project Directors to develop, secure, and deliver iconic projects within the NSW and Qld regional areas to budgeted profit, safety, environmental, and quality parameters.

Reporting to an Operations or General Manager, responsibilities will include:

• Leading the team during the Project Development Phase including definition of scope, project costings, planning, and liaising with the Client and Design Consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Once secured, developing and reviewing construction planning and monitoring progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates.
• Authorising construction planning, programming, and on-site completion schedules and liaising with the Construction Manager over completion dates for different phases of construction.
• Coordinating and controlling site staff and physical resources to achieve construction targets.
• Liaising with the Construction Manager to modify design in construction systems and methods necessitated by the progress of construction.
• Reviewing project costs and taking corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur.
• Reporting regularly to management on budgets and forecasting.
• Resolving day-to-day on-site industrial relations problems and referring major industrial relations problems to the HR/IR Manager.
• Ensuring safety is paramount and construction activities occur within HSE guidelines.
• Overseeing project programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration, and the activities of sub-contractors.

• NSW: Renewables Project CV$2b+ – FIFO to remote NSW Site
• NSW: Transportation Project CV$1b+ Sydney Metro
• NSW: Water Project CV$400m Sydney Metro
• Queensland: Renewables Project CV$1b+ North Qld frequent visits to site

Ideally, these roles are open to NSW and Qld residents; however, applicants from other states are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have a Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil or Mechanical, depending on the project.
