The Bachem Group is investing in a new site in Sisslerfeld in Northwestern Switzerland. This step is part of the long-term strategy to expand production capacity by the end of the decade. The new production site will play a central role in achieving these goals.
The initiation phase of the project offers you unique opportunities to shape the future organization. To strengthen our team in the Global Engineering department, we are looking for a committed Senior Process Engineer (f/m/d), 100%.
Your tasks:
- You act as a technical expert (SME) for the process discipline within a major project.
- Reviewing and optimizing the design of engineering processes for peptide or oligonucleotide plants together with external planners.
- Supporting the project from concept planning to commissioning, taking into account relevant and current technical standards, GMP specifications, and HSE guidelines.
- Ensuring GMP compliance of the systems and processes as well as the associated technical documentation in close cooperation with the quality assurance department.
Your profile:
- University degree as an engineer specializing in process or chemical engineering or a related field.
- Sound expertise in the planning and technology of chemical-pharmaceutical API production plants.
- Knowledge of GMP requirements in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry as well as knowledge of clean utilities, clean rooms, and containment.
- Sound process knowledge in the upstream and/or downstream of peptides or oligonucleotides is an advantage.
- High resilience and flexibility.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and capability to manage uncertainty while maintaining effective decision-making.
- Very good knowledge of German and English, project language in English.
