This internship will have a specific project deliverable: The creation of a tool to ingest tabular information to a database and build an interface through which our auditors can compare information captured from other sources (including from images via OCR). The project will involve the trainee being integrated within the audit group to build a comprehensive understanding of the engineering brief and context, including attendance at other F1 stakeholder locations, FIA remote operations centre or events.Responsibilities:Research, specify, document and create a tool to ingest tabular information from F1 team inventory, ERP and lifing data.Support the development of database tools, visualisation and analytics of multiple sources of information from Formula 1.Create a user interface to interrogate the database, allowing the comparison of data for auditing and reporting.Liaise with other departments inside the organisation to homogenise data collection, storage and access protocols.Profile:Engineering student or graduate in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.Knowledge and a genuine interest in some of the following tools would be advantageous:Software languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#SQL and non-SQL databases: dataverse and data lake solutionsWebApp applications or GUI development for different platformsReporting tools: PowerBI, TableauImage analysis tools such as OCRExperience with data pre-processingFamiliarity with AI/ML tools and languages such as Pytorch or Tensorflow would be welcomed.Ability to work autonomously and as part of the wider team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Analytical approach to solving complex tasks defined within tight timeframes.English at level B1 or better an advantage.For more detail, salary and company information, use the apply link. #J-18808-Ljbffr
