Your mission

Join us in supporting public administrations and politicians in making data-informed decisions!
Polyteia is on its way to become the leading SaaS data platform for the public sector and politicians. Polyteia enables the public sector to make databased decisions. Our cloud-based platform merges data from different data sources and offers public administrations and politicians on local, federal or state level real-time insights for optimal decision making.
We are currently looking for a Working Student Analytics Engineer (part-time, starting ASAP, in Berlin with remote possibility) to join our data team.
What to expect in your new role:
We are looking for someone with a passion for public policy and the ability to transform data into compelling stories. Specifically this means you will:

  • explore data in different domains of the public sector (e.g. human resources, public services like schools or childcare, green energy) and transform it into meaningful data stories and visualisations for decisionmakers on different levels of the administration
  • build, test and maintain automated data pipelines with airflow, python and dbt, as well as reliable predictive models
  • support the process ranging from ideation, prototyping and implementation to standardisation, support and monitoring the solutions in production
  • collaborate with other technical and non-technical teams in an agile environment
  • take part in internal learning & growth projects

Your profile

  • Passion for digital transformation of the public sector (GovTech)
  • Excellent analysis and data modelling skills
  • SQL and at least one programming language (e.g. Python, R, STATA)
  • Independent problem solving
  • Enjoy working in a communicative environment
  • Plus: Prior experience in B2G companies and/or knowledge of the German administrative landscape
  • Plus: Experience in maintaining production data pipelines (dbt)
  • Plus: German Level B2 or higher (to answer data related questions our mostly german-speaking customers might have)
